Sonora is an ideal location for mountain biking.
This great state has trails and rural roads that pass through natural reserves and deep ravines, as well as diverse ecosystems that range from coniferous forests to desert landscapes, not forgetting the coast.
ÁLAMOS
Promontorios is a neighboring mountain range with wide dirt roads that lead to old abandoned copper mines, the way back can be done through a place surrounded by huge poplars and flora of the region.
Navojoa
In this city the best option is La Aduana, where there are streams and towns with cobbled streets. Located 45 minutes from Álamos.
Another option is Santa Cruz, located within the ranch of the same name at kilometer 21 of the Navojoa-Álamos highway. It is the track where most of the XC competitions take place, it has fast climbs and fun slides.
CABORCA
How about combining sport and fun with some culture? A good option is Caborca, you can explore Cerro de la Proveedora with more than 5,000 petroglyphs in a large part of its rocks, there is a great diversity that goes from anthropomorphic figures to geometric figures. All this surrounded by spectacular semi-desert flora and fauna. Located two hours from Puerto Peñasco.

CIUDAD OBREGÓN
In the Oviáchic Ecotourism Corridor, located an hour and a half from Ciudad Obregón, there are several routes, the best are:
Dike 10, it starts at a dike and has gradual ascents and descents, with constant additions to the track creating new risks and opportunities for adventure.
K9 track that is one of the most difficult tracks in Sonora with rocky areas, endless slopes and technical descents.
The Caridad track is located on the outskirts of the city in the Ranch of the same name and is considered one of the most attractive in the state due to the landscapes to explore.
HERMOSILLO
In this city there are several trails:
Bachoco, that has trails from very simple to moderately technical.
La Jolla is an excellent option, since it has hosted the last 4 mountain bike nationals due to its design and technical level.
Cementera, is the hill of the old cement plant that contains the first track Down Hill in Sonora.
Outside the city, the best trails are:
La Caridad, located in the Hunting Ranch of the same name, almost four hours from Hermosillo, and is one of the most beautiful due to the characteristics of its geography.
La Pintada, located in the canyon of the same name on the highway to Guaymas, one hour from Hermosillo, which also offers the attraction of cave paintings.
The Cimarron Canyon, where you can see wild bighorn sheep.
OTHER OPTIONS
Sonora has a wide range of mountainous systems that constitute an ideal place for those who enjoy this sport.
Among the recommended options we can mention: Cerro Pico Guacamayas, Sierra Los Ajos, San José, La Charola, San Luis, La Mariquita, Hachita Hueca, La Madera, Aconchi, El Pinacate and Sierra libre.
