Its origins date back to the 18th century.

During that period, the Casa de las Comedias was built, but it was destroyed by a fire in 1819.

The second construction began in 1834 and was inaugurated in 1836 under the name Teatro Principal. In the early 20th century, it was used as a cinema, which caused another serious fire that destroyed the building.

In 1902, the theater was reopened as Teatro Dehesa, and it was not until 1970 that a complete renovation took place, and it was reopened with its current name.

It is a beautiful neoclassical building where plays, conferences, and musical and dance shows take place.

The entrance is through a beautiful circular foyer with a marble floor.
