The town has the Temple of Santiago Apóstol, which dates back to the 16th century.

Although not very large, it is a well-preserved construction with corner chapels in the atrium.

The town library houses the Tonindey or Zouche-Nuttall Codex, which narrates the exploits of a Mixtec ruler named Ocho Venado Garra de Jaguar.

In the surrounding area, you can enjoy impressive waterfalls with a drop of over 70 meters and beautiful crystal-clear pools.
