COLONIAL ELEGANCE AND NATURAL BEAUTIES
Linares was founded in 1712 by Sergeant Major Don Sebastián Villegas and was elevated to the status of a city in 1777. It was the main episcopal seat of the State, and when the hierarchy moved to Monterrey, it became the second episcopal see.
You can stroll through its historic center, admiring beautiful residences with high ceilings and inner courtyards that exude a tranquil and peaceful atmosphere.
Currently, Linares has become the second most important city in the state of Nuevo León.
It is located 130 km (about 1 hour 45 minutes) from Monterrey, 156 km (about 2 hours) from Ciudad Victoria, and 210 km (about 2 hours 45 minutes) from Saltillo.
