Barrio Antiguo (Old Quarter)

It is located in front of Macroplaza and next to the Cathedral, right in the heart of the city, creating a contrast with the modernity that prevails in Monterrey.

Catedral de Monterrey (Cathedral)

The temple is located on the site designated by the founder of the city of Monterrey, Don Diego de Montemayor, in 1596. However, true construction did not begin until 1770, and it was completed in 1899.

Faro de Comercio (Lighthouse of Commerce)

It is one of the distinctive elements of Macroplaza and was designed by Luis Barragán and executed in 1983 by Raúl Ferrara, both notable Mexican architects. This monument was donated by the National Chamber of Commerce of Monterrey on its 100th anniversary.

It covers an area of 40 hectares, which makes it twice the size of Moscow's Red Square, five times the size of the Vatican Square, and six times the size of Mexico City's Zócalo.

Palacio de Gobierno (Government Palace)

Its construction took place from 1865 to 1908 and was the work of engineer Francisco Beltrán.
