Symbol of Monterrey and notable for its peculiar shape, like a saddle, which is the reason for its name. The mountain has four peaks: Norte (North), Sur (South), Antena (Antenna), and La Virgen (The Virgen). The highest one is the first peak, standing at an altitude of 1820 meters above sea level, while the smallest is the last one with an altitude of 1750 meters above sea level.
It has been designated as a Protected Natural Area and Natural Monument, which means that over 6039 hectares are protected where you can enjoy beautiful forest landscapes, as well as scrublands and shrubs.
This is a highly visited area by nature and adventure enthusiasts, so there are several trails to ascend to all its peaks. However, the most visited one is the Antena Peak, as it has the easiest trail and there is also a cable car that takes you close to the summit.
If you like significant challenges, you can try the South Peak, as it is definitely not a trail for beginners.
You can also start your ascent in the afternoon to camp and begin the day amidst an incredible landscape, with a unique panoramic view of the city of Monterrey.
