LINARES
La Angostura in Hualahuises
It offers a crystalline river flanked by large junipers and biking trails, including suspension bridges, unique in the state. It is located 15 minutes from Linares.
MONTERREY
Chipinque Park
This stunning mountainside reserve offers great hiking and mountain-biking on over 60km of well-marked trails through dense forest and up rocky peaks. You will have to overcome many challenges.
You have to follow the park regulations and verify which trails allow access to mountain bikes. The tiny visitor center has snacks and permits for those heading to the summits. One of the best known trail is the one that goes to Pinal with a path of approximately 7 km. The park is located just 20 minutes from downtown Monterrey.
Ramos River
You can tour the Ramos River, located approximately one hour from Monterrey, and enjoy all the natural landscapes of the area, or tour the mountains of Santiago until you reach Cola de Caballo waterfall.
Santiago Mountains
There are two options to explore the surroundings of Santiago visiting the Virgen Milagrosa (Miraculous Virgin), or El Socavón (sinkhole), the Cueva del Indio (cave) and Ojo de Agua de la Leona (natural pool). Both offer various paths and trails between the mountains with beautiful landscapes where you can enjoy the local flora and fauna. It is located 40 minutes from Monterrey.

Potrero Chico
It offers several routes and trails with slopes, ascents and descents in the midst of attractive landscapes. There are several options depending on the level of the cyclist and how far you want to go. It is located 50 minutes from Monterrey.
Other options
The surroundings of Monterrey offer options for all kinds of levels. There are routes that include San José de los Nuncios, Ciénega de González and Las Vigas in Huasteca, Villa de García, El Milagro in Azufrosa and Ciénega la Purísima in Rayones, among many others.
VILLA DE SANTIAGO
Santiago Waterfall
This is a place with beautiful natural surroundings including the waterfall. The tour goes from the Cola de Caballo waterfall to the Magic Town of Santiago, crossing the mountains with its slopes and obstacles. We always advise you to be accompanied by guides, especially on long journeys. It is located 25 minutes from Villa de Santiago.
Matacanes
In Matacanes there are more than 20 km of all-terrain track for mountain biking in the middle of the forest of the mountains of Santiago. From here you can choose to visit Ojo Caliente in Ramos Arizpe Coahuila with a distance of 60 km and with a difficulty for intermediate level, or Los Fierro route located in García that offers very exciting challenges. It is located one hour and 45 minutes from Villa de Santiago.
