The site where Juárez Park is located was once occupied by the San Francisco Convent.

The construction of the convent was initiated by Hernán Cortés and completed in 1534. The park is built on a plateau situated in the heart of the city's four original neighborhoods.

It is considered the central garden of Xalapa, with majestic Araucaria trees. The park is home to the Ágora, a venue for important cultural events.

From the park, you can enjoy an excellent panoramic view of the city, and there are food stalls available. Additionally, it hosts various musical performances.
