It is located in front of the cathedral and is one of the most emblematic buildings in the city.
The metallic structure and other components such as sheets, doors, posts, and even screws were designed by the renowned French engineer Gustave Eiffel and brought from Belgium.
Initially, it was intended to serve as the Municipal Palace, and it did so for 97 years until 1991. It now houses the Tourism Department, a conference room, and several museums such as the Football Museum, the Beer Museum, the Roots of Orizaba Museum, the Geographic Museum of Orizaba, the Interactive Museum of Orizaba, and the Rodolfo Neri Vela Planetarium.
