It is famous for being the birthplace of Benito Juárez.

Located in the mountainous landscape of the Sierra Norte, Guelatao offers visitors various attractions, almost all related to Benito Juárez.

In the center, there are a series of terraces at different heights that form small squares connected by stairs, where statues of Benito Juárez, gardens, various municipal government buildings, the site museum, and a school are located.

One of the main attractions is a small lagoon, and next to it, there is a replica of the house where Benito Juárez lived during his childhood. It is made of adobe with a dirt floor, and inside, you can see interesting photographs.
