Founded in 1574 amidst a landscape of walnut trees nourished by the Florido River.

It's a true oasis that has managed to preserve its old adobe architecture.

Its main square stands out with its traditional gazebo, from where you can admire the Temple of the Virgin of the Rosary, dating back to the 18th century. Inside, you can observe a beautiful pink quarry altarpiece and some valuable sacred paintings.

In the town, you can walk along Mina Street, where there is a great variety of establishments offering handmade candies, most of them made with delicious walnuts.

One of the peculiarities is that you can see a meteorite that is estimated to have weighed 4 tons and fell here in 1969. Currently, only a fragment remains as the majority was transported by NASA for study.

You can visit the walnut orchards with trees that exceed 40 meters in height, and their trunks can measure over 10 meters in width. This landscape is ideal for hiking and learning more about the region.

Near Valle de Allende, you'll find the "Ojo de Talamantes," a warm-water spring that offers spa services.
