The theater dates back to 1930, and its architecture is a mix of neo-Gothic, Byzantine, and Moorish styles.
This building is not only one of the most beautiful in the city but also considered one of the most beautiful in the country.
Its interior is very elegant and features intricate filigree reliefs on the stage arch, showcasing influences from both Europe and Asia.
On the sides of the stage, you can admire two impressive murals depicting Persian princes.
The ceiling also has an impressive decoration with murals depicting different stages of mankind, with the muses in the center.
The entire theater decor is the work of the Spanish master Salvador Tarazona, who also has another work in the Carranza Hall of the Government Palace in Saltillo.
After a series of renovations, it has been restored and now offers movie theaters and an art gallery.
