It is one of the most extraordinary natural beauties of Oaxaca.

This impressive tree is the gigantic cypress known as "El Árbol del Tule," standing at a height of 40 meters, a diameter of 52.58 meters, weighing 509 tons, and approximately 2000 years old.

There are several children who can show you all the shapes distinguished in the enormous trunk, considered the widest in the world. The tree is located in the atrium of the Temple of Santa María de la Asunción, dating back to the 18th century, with beautiful baroque altarpieces.

You can also visit the small temple located in front of the giant cypress. It features beautiful 18th-century baroque altarpieces.

You can stop and eat at some of the restaurants located around the plaza.
