This was another place where Father Kino founded a mission in 1694.

According to local stories, its name comes from the name of an Indian called "Piti."

You can visit the Church of San Diego de Alcalá, built in the 19th century, with a simple facade that features a semi-circular door between a pair of columns. Some remnants of religious paintings stand out.

The local artisans produce fine leather goods, making them famous throughout the state.

Nearby are the towns of Altar, Oquitoa, and Átil, former Visits of the Altar River Missions, all established by Father Kino.

Additionally, you can explore Puerto Libertad, a place with a unique beauty where the sea and the desert meet. It's not a well-known place, so you can relax and enjoy a unique place just for yourself.
