Built in 1859, it is one of the most representative buildings in the city center.

The building has two levels with Doric pilasters on the lower level and Ionic pilasters on the upper level.

Inside, you can admire the neoclassical-style stairs and columns carved by Yaqui indigenous people, using stones obtained from Cerro de la Campana.

Its murals depict a significant part of the state's history, painted in 1980 and 1990 by renowned Sonoran artists Héctor Martínez Arteche, Teresa Moran, and Enrique Estrada.
