This small town is full of history. During the days of Father Kino, there was a mission here.

However, after only 8 years, it was destroyed by Pima inhabitants in response to the massacre of El Tupo.

Today, it stands out for its charming square and the Church of San José de Ímuris, which is located where the mission once stood. It is said that four churches have occupied this place, so it holds many stories.

A few kilometers to the east is the Comaquito Dam, with tourist services and some petroglyphs.

When you visit this town, don't miss trying their delicious quesadillas and the traditional machaca.
