The paintings are so extensive and numerous that scholars have divided them into different areas.

It is estimated that there are more than 5,300 petroglyphs with zoomorphic, phytomorphic, anthropomorphic, geometric, and some astronomical figures.

As an additional attraction, you can enjoy the semi-desert landscape with a great variety of plants such as pithaya, cardon, saguaro, choya, and biznaga, among others.

The most important site is Rancho Puerto Blanco, located 6 km from the city, where you can start your exploration of these incredible rock paintings.
