It was built in 1982, and its main attraction is the swallows that have made the interior of the dome their home, creating a spectacle during their daily evening return.

To the west of the Congress, in a small square, you can find the statue of Liberty that formerly adorned the central park.

This statue was a gift from Porfirio Díaz to Chiapas commemorating the centennial of Independence in 1910.
