CAPITAL OF SOCONUSCO
Tapachula is known as 'The Pearl of Soconusco'.
Undoubtedly, the tropical vegetation with diverse ecosystems has given rise to a beautiful mosaic of cultural expressions today, resulting from the immigration of settlers from North America, Asia, and Europe. It is located in Chiapas.
It is a modern city with beautiful buildings of classical architecture, located on the border with Guatemala. It combines a peaceful atmosphere and lush vegetation. It served as a settlement for immigrant groups from Japan, Germany, and China.

Tourist Attractions in Tapachula
Miguel Hidalgo Central Park
It is the main gathering point of this city, a beautiful tree-lined area where the Indian Laurel tree adorns the walkways with benches and colonial-style lampposts.
Surrounding the Central Park, there are important buildings such as the Municipal Palace and the San Agustín Parish with a simple yet elegant façade dating back to 1818. Inside, the Chapel of the Blessed Sacrament stands out, with a representation of the Last Supper carved in cedar.
Soconusco Archaeological Museum
Housed in an Art Deco-style building constructed in the 1920s. Its exhibition includes various pre-Hispanic pieces from the cultures settled in the region. The monkey figures and stelae from Izapa, a skull with turquoise inlays, as well as some Aztec and Teotihuacan pieces, are particularly noteworthy.

Bicentennial Park
A place where cultural events take place. It has a gazebo where you can listen to traditional marimba music. The modern Cathedral of San José is located in this square.
The community of Miguel Alemán
Located in the Municipality of Suchiate, you can visit a banana plantation and learn about the history of the region, its people, and its traditions, as well as the cultivation of bananas and the harvesting process. The visit also includes exploring the church and community center of this town.

The Coffee Route
In the mountainous region, where you can visit beautiful and ancient estates surrounded by lush nature at the foothills of the Tacaná volcano.
The Volcano Route
The route includes: Unión Juárez, a picturesque town with beautiful natural landscapes; Santo Domingo, an old coffee plantation with a museum, hotel, and restaurant; the Izapa Archaeological Zone, founded around 1,500 BC, a link between the Olmec and Maya cultures; and the Tacaná Volcano, with an elevation of 4,100 meters above sea level.
The Beach Route
It includes the La Encrucijada Ecological Reserve, with mangroves up to 35 meters high; the Pozuelos Lagoon, where you can fish and take boat trips; and the beaches of the Chiapas coast.
