At the entrance, there is a bronze sculpture of the poet Jaime Sabines, created by sculptor Luis Aguilar, inspired by one of Sabines' verses: "My body is made of air and words."
Inside, there are magnificent murals created by five prominent Chiapas artists that depict Chiapas: "The Epic, the Magical, and the Mythical in Chiapas Culture" by Manuel Suasnávar; "The Encounter" by Gabriel Gallegos; "Meditation on Our Origins" by Rodolfo Disner; "Cultural Movement of Indigenous Peoples of Chiapas" by Juan Gallo; and "Every Step I Take is a String of Ages" by Luis Alaminos.
The magnificent gallery exhibits works by renowned artists, and the auditorium, with a capacity of 184 people, hosts film festivals and concerts.
The children's auditorium offers children's theater and other artistic performances.
