It is one of the seven seawater pools in the world.
It is an outdoor space filled with seawater, so you can feel the waves in this unique pool.
The history of this place dates back to 1915 when it was part of a restaurant built by Antonio Olvera, a chef of Chilean origin who had the idea of constructing a pool next to the sea, fed by the movement of the waves.
This innovative place, which also offered delicious dishes, became famous and was visited by important figures such as Pedro Infante and some presidents like Miguel Alemán, Manuel Ávila Camacho, and Adolfo Ruíz Cortines.
However, the restaurant disappeared, and the pool remained as a recreational center. A few years ago, it was reconstructed, and although it no longer has a restaurant, it still offers a unique place to enjoy the sea. It has a fun slide, a wading pool, an adult pool, and a unique panoramic view of Mazatlán. It is a privileged place to watch one of the beautiful sunsets in this destination.
The floor is made of sand, and it is not recommended to enter this area if the waves are too high, as the intensity of the waves depends on the tide.
Admission is completely free, so if you don't want it to be crowded, we advise you to go very early or in the late evening.
