This museum tells the mining history of Fresnillo.
It has six rooms where clothing, work tools, documents, and mineral specimens are exhibited.
While walking through the corridors, rooms, and courtyards of the museum, you can take a journey into the past and better understand the lives of the old miners by observing the medium and large-sized machinery integrated into the architectural spaces of the museum.
The model of the Nueva Fresnillo hacienda stands out. It was once the largest beneficiation hacienda in the world, and currently, the huge exterior balustrade with buttresses is still preserved.
It has a specialized library and documents related to the economic history of local mining.
