Located in the heart of the city.

Its construction began in 1875 and was completed in 1899, and it is considered the most beautiful cathedral in northwest Mexico.

The church has a marked Gothic influence, with two slender towers on the exterior. Inside, it has three aisles topped with beautiful altars. The decor is entirely Baroque with lavish tendencies, making it a true mosaic of styles.

The cathedral houses an organ built by the Frenchman Aristide Cavaillé-Coll, the most famous organ builder of the 19th century. Mazatlán has the distinction of being the first city in Mexico to have one of his organs.
