Catedral de Ciudad Valles

It is a modern building dedicated to Our Lady of Guadalupe and is the seat of the diocese of the city.

Its facade is simple with a single tower, and the cross located in the center stands out.

Jardín Hidalgo

This garden is also known as Alameda. It is located in the city center and is a place where locals and visitors gather to enjoy the tranquility of the city. It features a unique kiosk that doubles as a fountain.

On Sundays, it becomes a market where you can admire colorful indigenous costumes and purchase some of their elaborate products.

Parroquia de Santiago Apóstol (Parish)

It is one of the most distinctive buildings in Ciudad Valles and the oldest, dating back to 1593.

It is a church with a simple facade that has witnessed the entire history of Ciudad Valles.

Museo Regional Huasteco Joaquín Meade (Regional Museum)

Its exhibition consists of nearly eight thousand pre-Hispanic pieces. All of these pieces have been found in nearby archaeological sites.

Here you can admire ceramics, agricultural artifacts, musical instruments, and shell pectorals, among others.

Museo de la Cultura de la Huasteca Potosina Tamuantzan

The Museum of Huastecan Culture is located within the Huastecan Cultural Center. This interesting center hosts a series of cultural events such as concerts, workshops, and conferences.

It has two rooms where a series of pieces related to ethnography and the archaeology of Tamohi and Tamtoc are exhibited. It is divided into thematic areas, with a notable section dedicated to music and dance, where various musical instruments are displayed.

Parque Luis Donaldo Colosio

 

It is one of the most attractive recreational centers in all of Ciudad Valles.

 

You can stroll along the riverbank at Luis Donaldo Colosio Park. You can also navigate the river on colorful trajineras inspired by those in Xochimilco, Mexico City, accompanied by the sounds of the jarana and savoring typical Huastecan snacks.
