Perhaps one of the lesser-known waterfalls in the Huasteca Potosina, it is nonetheless a stunning natural beauty. It's not one of the tallest either, with a drop of 35 meters, but it is one of the most charming in the country. During the rainy season, the roar of the waterfall can be heard from over a kilometer away.
It is formed by the flow of the El Salto River, which reaches a gorge where the waterfall cascades down. At its base, a turquoise pool forms, reflecting the lush vegetation that surrounds it.
There is a hotel and restaurant from where you can enjoy incredible views of the beautiful waterfall.
Moreover, it is considered a Class III river where you can practice rafting.
