The history of this town dates back to the pre-Hispanic era.
From the colonial period, it preserves the splendid Ex Convent of San Antonio de Padua, which dates back to the 16th century, and the Chapel of San Cristóbal.
Additionally, you can visit a small museum dedicated to a saint, where evidence of the miracles performed is exhibited.
In the municipality, you can visit the cenotes: Xpakay, Uitzan, X-Mozon, Kixchén, Kansacbeh, and Chan Mul.
There is a cooperative that can take you on a tour of the town and offers various activities, such as a visit to an artisanal bakery workshop. They will also take you to a place where you can learn more about melipona bees and the making of traditional garments.
