The mausoleum houses the remains of prominent figures from Zacatecas.

Some of these illustrious men are: the musician and composer of the Marcha de Zacatecas, Genaro Codina Fernández; the governor of Zacatecas, Francisco García Salinas; and the governor and illustrious revolutionary Pánfilo Natera, among others.

The mausoleum also contains the remains of musicians such as Fernando Villalpando, Genaro Codina, and Candelario Huízar, as well as some poets and journalists.
