BEST BEACHES IN PUERTO ÁNGEL
Playa Zipolite
 
															Open sea beach with crystal clear waters. This beach is considered one of the best spots for surfing, due to the strong surf.
Since the undertow is extremely dangerous here, this beach is not recommended for swimming.
There is a restaurant, cabins and hammocks.

Playa Mazunte
 
															It has an extension of one kilometer of golden sand, bathed by warm and crystalline waters, perfect for swimming surrounded by a beautiful tropical jungle landscape. Here you will find many restaurants, hotels, bungalows, boat rentals and a trailer park along the beach. From June to December, turtles come ashore to spawn.

Lover's Beach
 
															The Beach of Love, protected by very high cliffs, but is not recommended for inexperienced swimmers because the tides are very irregular.
Boat rentals, as well as diving and snorkeling gear rentals are available.
There are also several trailer parks.

Playa la Mina
 
															This is a small white sand beach, with the warm and shallow, green-blue waters.
A perfect beach to relax and swim.
Due to the shape and location of the beach, the waves are usually calm.

Playa Principal
 
															Area in which most of the town is located.
The waves on this beach are moderate.
Great for swimming, Main Beach offers hotels, motels, camp sites, and restaurants where you can enjoy delicious seafood.

Playa Panteón
 
															Despite the name, Graveyard Beach is a great place to swim, dive and snorkel, especially around the rocks.
There are restaurants and boats for rent.
The predominant vegetation is mangrove.

Playa Estacahuite
 
															The waves on this beach are moderate. If you dive or fish, this is a wonderful place to enjoy yourself, but beware of the coral reefs on the western side when you go swimming.
Near the beach there are palapas that provide restaurant service, offering national dishes, mainly seafood.
The beach has hotels, boarding houses and restaurants, and offers snorkeling gear rentals.

Playa la Boquilla
 
															La Boquilla is a small golden sand beach.
Approximately 120 meters long and steep slope.
The coastal waters has the perfect temperature for diving and swimming with gente waves and beautiful shades of green and blue, replaced only by darker shades on the far horizon.

Playa La Escobilla
 
															La Escobilla is a long fine white sand beach, that makes a beautiful contrast with the blue and green tones of its waters.
The waves are strong, and not too steep slope. It is also known as "Playa Tortuguera" (Turtle Beach), as hundreds of turtles come ashore to lay their eggs in the sand from June to September.

Playa San Agustinillo
 
															It is a beautiful and long beach, approximately 1,300 meters, divided naturally into two sections: one protected by rocks, where you can swim easily thanks to the gentle waves, and the another, on the east, has strong waves.
On this beach, you will find restaurants, cabin accommodations, and boat rides.

Playa La Tijera
 
															It is one of the best places to snorkel in the destination, although it is the most remote beach, about 20 km from Puerto Angel.
It is a quiet virgin beach, and there are no services.
