The Barra de Ciudad Madero Lighthouse is 43 meters high.

It has 209 steps and was inaugurated in 1883. It is the tallest lighthouse at sea level in the entire country and, despite the passage of time and natural disasters, it has managed to preserve its original structure on the left bank of the Pánuco River.

There are guided tours to the lighthouse, although entry into the interior of the structure is not allowed.

Near the lighthouse, there is a monument to the Virgin of the Sea, the patron saint of sailors, which was blessed in 1967.
