TOP SIGHTS IN IXTAPA ZIHUATANEJO
Mercado de Artesanías (Crafts Market)
There are two craft markets, one in Zihuatanejo and another in Ixtapa.
Both offer a wide variety of clothing, jewelry, T-shirts, the popular "huaraches" or leather sandals from the region, beautiful decorative items, home accessories, and a wide variety of souvenirs.
Museo Arqueológico de la Costa Grande
The Archaeological Museum has six exhibition halls. The halls are arranged around a central courtyard that concentrates the most relevant information about the 54 archaeological sites discovered in the region.
Inside the museum, there are clay figurines, obsidian instruments, and some weapons.
In addition to the pre-Hispanic pieces, there are also other interesting objects such as porcelain bowls brought by the Nao de China, silver embossing from the 18th century, some religious objects from the 19th century, and a 1930s film projector, among many other pieces.

Petatlán
This is a picturesque town full of traditions.
Its main square is surrounded by gardens and has a kiosk. Here you will find the Government Palace, the House of Culture, and a church called Father Jesus of Petatlán, famous worldwide for the miracles attributed to this figure.
It has the most important gold market in the region, and its artisans create beautiful jewelry pieces.
