The Maritime Customs House is one of the most valuable and beautiful buildings in the city.

The construction still retains its original English style with structural and ornamental elements of cast iron.

This unique red building, made with British brick, was inaugurated on October 16, 1902, by Porfirio Díaz.

Explore its corridors with polished granite floors decorated with geometric figures, and marvel at the view of the port, the Pánuco River, and the impressive ships that circulate there from its balconies.

The building still preserves some original elements such as the three entrance doors, wrought iron stairs, and columns.

It currently houses a museum that showcases some historical passages of Tampico.
