Gulf of Mexico Beaches
It is located in an estuary bordered by mangrove islands, so it does not have proper beaches.
However, at the pier, there are boats that can take you across the river, and in five minutes, you will reach an impressive turquoise sea with white sand beaches where several palapas offer shelter from the sun.
You can explore the brackish lagoons and the various islands, some covered in lush vegetation, which are the habitat for hundreds of birds, small fish, and mollusks.
The shallow seabed around the islets is where the beautiful pink flamingos feed and reproduce, creating a stunning contrast against the turquoise sea and green vegetation.
San Felipe is famous for its spectacular sunsets.
Location
It is located in the north of the state of Yucatán, 31 km north of Tizimín, about 11 kilometers from Río Lagartos, and approximately 113 km, about an hour and a half from Valladolid.
