Gulf of Mexico Beaches
It is a laid back town south of Puerto Vallarta that is not accessible by car only by boat.
The journey from Boca de Tomatlán takes 20 minutes.
This serene paradise with a captivating waterfall, lush trails is ideal for horseback riding and hiking. You can visit a beautiful ten-meter-high waterfall located just a half-hour hike up the river. The beach is protected by large rocks and is ideal for swimming and snorkeling.
The place also offers fabulous dishes based on fish and Mexican specialties in a home-style setting.
During the journey between Quimixto and Yelapa, there are small beaches like Caletas, Majahuitas, and Colimilla with shallow waters where you can snorkel, as the area is rich in coral formations.
From November to March, a large number of sea turtles and whales arrive. Throughout the year, it is not difficult to see dolphins and manta rays.
