NATURAL POOLS AND MAYAN REMAINS
Its name is due to the river that crosses the municipality, the Candelaria River. It is surrounded by lush vegetation, making it ideal for being in contact with nature.
If you like hiking and ecology, this Magic Town is a very good option as you can explore its mangroves and grasslands.
This paradisiacal place has more than 40% of its territory under environmental protection, and you can visit several natural swimming spots, including Las Conchitas, Laguna Misteriosa, Nuevo Coahuilita, and the Pedro Baranda Springs, characterized by their wonderful turquoise waters.
It is also surrounded by a series of archaeological remains, including sites like El Tigre and smaller ones such as Cerro de los Muertos, El Naranjo, and Peje Lagarto.
Among its gastronomy, dishes featuring fish and seafood stand out, including one of Campeche's most famous dishes, Coconut Shrimp.

Main Park
This is the meeting place of the Magic Town, where locals and visitors mingle. There are benches and a central kiosk. Here you can find the Candelaria sign where you can take a nice souvenir photo.
It is also the ideal place if you want to try the local cuisine, as on weekends there are several stalls offering delicious snacks and fresh drinks.
Cerro de los Muertos Archaeological Site
Located on the banks of the Caribbean River, you can appreciate several structures among the abundant vegetation. Another attraction is the numerous natural pools that form along the river, making it look like a natural swimming spot.
