Beaches in Campeche

On the coast of Campeche there are 23 shipwrecks from different periods, ranging from the 17th to the 20th century. There are three top sectors for diving:

Sector A, for beginner divers, is located near the coast of Campeche, no more than 15 km away. In the Bay and the Vapor there are objects from the 20th century, while in the Dársena Canyon there are objects from the 17th and 18th centuries.

In Sector B, the sites are located deeper and further from the coast, approximately 30 km, so this sector is for certified divers. Currently the shipwrecks have become artificial reefs. The sites to explore are: Perla Blanca, Rey Mar, Emilio Manuel and Don Lin.

Sector C, called La Barcaza, is located 80 km from Campeche and its port of departure is Seybaplaya. This site can only be explored by experienced divers.
