Gulf of Mexico Beaches
It is ideal for fishing, and you can ride your own ATV 4-wheeler on this beautiful Pacific beach.
With a coastline of 32 kilometers facing the open sea, this beach is in the middle of a mountain landscape and is the main beach resort in the State.
In the heart of Puerto Arista, you'll find Parque Niños Héroes, a pleasant recreational area for families that offers delicious local cuisine.
The Puerto Arista Turtle Camp is responsible for protecting, studying, and preserving the endangered golfinas sea turtles. From May to October, you can observe turtles arriving to nest at night, and from August to December, you can participate in the release of the hatchlings.
Nearby, you can visit Cabeza de Toro, a town located on the banks of a beautiful estuary; Joya Buena Vista, where you can paddle in a cayuco while enjoying the landscape dominated by the Bernal Hill; and Playa del Sol, which is 2.5 km away and has a tourist center on one of the longest beaches in Puerto Arista.
Just 19 km away, you'll find Tonalá, the third most important city in the state of Chiapas, which is primarily known for its livestock industry. Nearby, you can explore the archaeological site of Iglesia Vieja, which, though difficult to access, is worth exploring.
