The cove is protected by two large rocks, so the waves are calm, and the waters are crystal clear.

It is an excellent place for swimming and has some restaurants with typical dishes located in palapas along the beach, contrasting with the greenery of the lush mountains surrounding it.

It is an ideal area for snorkeling or diving, due to the coral formations and abundant marine life. You can also rent a paddleboard for paddleboarding. If you want to enjoy this little paradise, you can rent one of the houses or cabins in the area. And if you have an explorer spirit, you can rent a boat to visit the different beaches in the area.

The beach is more for relaxing, but nearby is the Las Animas Beach Adventure Park, which offers ziplines, bridges, and other fun activities.

To reach this beautiful beach, you can opt for a water taxi from Boca de Tomatlán or, if you are in good condition and want to walk through the tropical forest, you can also do so from Boca, and the journey takes about an hour.

It is located 17 km from the center of Puerto Vallarta.
