Since it is located in open sea, it's not the best option for swimming, but it's an ideal place for surfing enthusiasts, as it has intense waves, making it one of the best surfing beaches in the country year-round. Some surfing tournaments are even held here.

There are palapas that offer drinks and delicious food, mainly fresh fish and seafood, including the famous Colima ceviche and seafood soup.

Along the beach, you can find a variety of attractive regional crafts.
