Considered one of the best swimming beaches in Los Tuxtlas and one of the cleanest. However, it requires great caution as there are many pools formed by the removed stones, making it unsuitable for non-swimmers.

Interestingly, the southern part of this beach was used in the filming of the movie "Apocalypse" during the arrival of the Spanish sequence.

Access to the beach is through the Catemaco to Montepío road. There are no tourist services, although some houses offer their gardens for camping.
