It is a Natural Protected Area and World Heritage of Humanity.

The island has a land area of 31.183 square miles, which makes it the 12th largest island in Mexico.

Located in La Paz Bay, Holy Spirit Island is one of the most spectacular islands you can visit in the Gulf of California. With its beautiful coves and high cliffs, the coastline also reveals multicolored volcanic strata.

The eastern part of its coastline is quite uniform while the western part is made up of a series of small bays with beautiful beaches that have become excellent shelters for all types of boats.

The fabulous marine life around the island makes it one of the very favorite spots of both beginners and seasoned divers.

The island is also the habitat of a myriad species of sea birds, reptiles, rodents, and amphibians.

A narrow channel separates Espíritu and Isla Partida and this is sometimes, in the low tide, shallow enough to wade across.

And don’t miss the rock formations known as “isles” north of La Partida, the home of a large colony of sea lions.

Discover one of the most spectacular natural spots in the region.
