AQUISMÓN
Río Gallinas
The river offers calm waters and can be paddle without much difficulty. It has class II and III rapids, so some experience is required. Located in Aquismón.
Río Huichihuayán
The river runs along the slopes of the mountains and has calm waters that facilitate the observation of the nature that surrounds it. Its rapids are class I and II. Located in Huehuetlán.
CIUDAD VALLES
Río Coy
In Huastec it means rabbit, it is a place to explore and enjoy the flora and fauna of the region. Its cold waters are usually calm and very suitable for kayaking, not much experience is needed, but for long stretches good physical condition is needed.
Río Micos
It is for experienced kayakers as it has seven waterfalls ranging from 2 to 20 m (7 to 65 ft) high. Between the waterfalls there are a series of pools where you can rest. Located in Ciudad Valles.
Valles River
This is the ideal place for beginners as it has very calm waters. Located in Ciudad Valles.
Tampaón River
This river is known for its incomparable turquoise blue color surrounded by exuberant vegetation, it offers options for beginners and experts as the river has class I, II and III rapids. Located half an hour from Ciudad Valles.
XILITLA
Amajac in Tamazunchale
This is another good place for kayaking. Here the Amajac and Moctezuma rivers join, forming the great flow of the Pánuco river. Due to its characteristics, the river presents all degrees of difficulty along the route. Located an hour and 20 minutes from Xilitla.
