AQUISMÓN

Mantetzulel Caves and Aguacate Cave

It is a set of six different caves that present various figures formed by minerals from the soil. Located 15 minutes from Aquismón.

CIUDAD VALLES

Gruta de los Sabinos

Inside the cave you can enjoy the capricious formations of stalagmites and stalactites. In its surroundings there is a vegetation of cacti and ancient trees. Located in the Sierra Abra Tanchipa Biosphere Reserve, half an hour from Ciudad Valles.

Cuevas del Río Tampaón

On the Tampaón River, within the Huasteca Potosina half an hour from Ciudad Valles, you can explore the Mantelzulel Caves with beautiful geological formations.

Another cave that is next to the riverbed is the Cueva El Espíritu Santo (The Holy Spirit Cave), where you can see a collapse open to the surface. The combination of branches and the entrance of light creates a unique effect. In the last gallery, right under the collapsed roof, there are plants and colorful flowers.

SAN LUIS POTOSÍ

Cueva Azul

The cave has some galleries that are more accessible, although the deeper galleries have many surprises. Located in Charcas, almost two hours from San Luis Potosí.

Sierra de Álvarez

It is a mountainous area with a microclimate and wooded areas. In the surroundings there is a complex of cave shafts and caverns, although not as spectacular or deep as those of the ones found in the Huasteca. Located in Armadillo de los Infante, 40 minutes from San Luis Potosí.

XILITLA

Cueva de Salitre

It is located in Xilitla, where there are several caves to explore but it is recommended to have experience to investigate the caves of this area.
