JALPAN DE SERRA

Gruta Jalpan

Inside the cave you can travel more than two kilometers observing stalagmites and stalactites. It has an underground river, so part of the way you will have to walk in the water. Located just 5 minutes from Jalpan de Serra.

Cueva del Agua (Cave)

To access the cave you have to cross trails in the middle of the forest. This cave is a world of fantasy and is considered one of the most incredible landmarks in the Sierra Gorda with a hole in the ceiling from which light can enter. Its name derives from the pools of water inside the cave, but the most impressive are its colossal stalactites and stalagmites larger than 25 m (82 ft). Located in the town of Verde Valle, very close to the border with the state of San Luis Potosí and just over three hours from Jalpan de Serra.

SAN JOAQUÍN

Grutas los Herrera (Grotto)

It is an incredible site with amazing natural formations created over thousands of years. There are just over six rooms with many natural lime stone formations with capricious and suggestive forms that popular imagination have baptized with funny names like: "El paso de la selva" (The passage of the jungle), "El león" (The Lion), "El crocodile" (The Crocodile), among others. We recommend that you visit the cave accompanied by a guide. Located just 8 minutes from San Joaquin.

Grutas La Esperanza

The caves offer beautiful and large galeries with immense pieces of rock. Located 20 minutes from San Joaquin.
