AMEALCO DE BONFIL
Chitejé de la Cruz
Four kilometers from Amealco is Chitejé de la Cruz and its surroundings are pine–oak forest landscapes, ideal for camping and hiking.
Campamento San Pedro (Camp)
The camp has huge green areas ideal for hiking and a beautiful dam where you can enjoy fishing. Located in Huimilpan at the San Pedro dam, half an hour from Amealco de Bonfil and one hour from the city of Querétaro.
Parque Natural La Beata (Natural Park)
The camping area is located in the middle of a forest and in the rainy season you can appreciate streams and small waterfalls, a real magical place. It is an ideal place to enjoy hiking and bike rides where you can learn more about the flora and fauna of the region. In addition, at night you can enjoy a spectacular starry night skies. It has camping areas, a food area and a shop with handicrafts. It is located 20 minutes from Amealco de Bonfil.
Laguna de Servín (Lagoon)
The lagoon is surrounded by pine and oak forests, as well as some springs with crystalline waters. It is a pleasant place for camping and be in contact with nature and hiking. Located 25 minutes from Amealco de Bonfil

La Tortuga (The Turtle)

Campamento Ecoturístico El Bosque de las Hojas (Ecotourism Camp)
The camping area is surrounded by a wooded landscape of pines and oaks and has bathrooms and grills. Additionally, it offers comfortable cabins and an organic restaurant. Located on top of the mountain in El Doctor, only 50 minutes from Cadereyta de Montes.
La Isla Tzibanzá
This is more of a glamping concept with cabins that have luxury services, a restaurant, and a pool with a panoramic view of the dam. It is the ideal place to relax and bass fishing. If you want to explore the surroundings you can go to see the Thaxidó springs, there are guides that can take you to this beautiful place. Located just 45 minutes from Cadereyta in the middle of the Zimapán dam.
JALPAN DE SERRA
El Carrizal
It is a place with an excellent weather with magnificent landscapes surrounded by abundant vegetation. The waters of the Santa María river create beautiful corners ideal for camping and hiking. It is located 9 km south of Arroyo Seco on a paved road in fair condition and one hour from Jalpan de Serra.
Pinal de Amoles
In the municipality of Pinal de Amoles there are a series of camps: Río Escanela, in the middle of a wooded area, Las Trancas, in a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere, El Jabalí, with an ATV tour that takes you through the Sierra Gorda, Peña de la Gloria with a charming view of the Escanela River and Bucareli where you can also visit the surprising Ex Convent of Bucareli. All of them have services such as: parking, toilets and showers with hot water, among others. It is located 50 minutes from Jalpan de Serra.
Mirador de Cuatro Palos (Viewpoint)
This place offers an area for camping, enjoying the wooded landscape and enjoying the spectacular panoramic views. It is located on one of the highest peaks of the Sierra Gorda on the Cerro de la Media Luna, an hour and a quarter from Jalpan de Serra.
Campamento Peña de la Gloria

Cuatro Palos
Es uno de los lugares más representativos de la Sierra Gorda, ya que es un mirador que se ubica en la cima del Cerro de la Media Luna cerca de la comunidad La Cañada que se encuentra en la carretera entre San Juan del Río y Xilitla, a una hora y 20 minutos de Jalpan de Serra. Si te gustan las vistas panorámicas, especialmente de los amaneceres y atardeceres, éste es un lugar muy recomendable.
Chuveje Waterfall
An spectacular waterfall with several pools of crystal clear water. If you want to enjoy this spectacle, you will have to arrive early, since the camping area is not very large. It is located in the Sierra Gorda half an hour from Jalpan de Serra.
Bucareli Extremo
It has a circuit of more than 8 kilometers distributed in nine zip lines and two bridges that cross an 80 m (262 ft) high ravine and offer a panoramic view of the majestic landscapes of the Sierra Gorda , including the mountains, the banks of the Extoraz river and cliffs. It also has cabins, camping area and restaurant. SAN JOAQUÍN
El Cañón Paraíso
The canyon is a place full of amazing sights with imposing black marble walls. At the bottom of the canyon is the Extoraz River that can be navigated in times of rain. Located very close to Peñamiller, an hour and a half from San Joaquín.
Campamento El Jabalí
ATV enthusiasts have the chance to enjoy a trip full of landscapes to get to this camp. You start your adventure in San Joaquín and you will have to cross canyons, rivers and trails through a beautiful forested countryside. In the camp there are comfortable cabins and it is the ideal place to enjoy natural wonders. Located very close to the Extoraz River canyon in Pinal de Amoles, just over an hour from San Joaquín.
Aventura Park
The park has a camping area in the middle of forested mountains. It also offers a hotel and activities such as rappelling and mountain biking. Located very close to San Joaquín.
