It is located in the heart of the city.

It is one of the distinctive elements of Macroplaza and was designed by Luis Barragán and executed in 1983 by Raúl Ferrara, both notable Mexican architects. This monument was donated by the National Chamber of Commerce of Monterrey on its 100th anniversary.

The structure of the Lighthouse is 70 meters high, 12.33 meters wide, and 1.83 meters thick, making it the tallest monument in the country. Since 2001, the Lighthouse has been declared an "Artistic Monument of National Historic Heritage."

At the top of the structure, seven green laser beams are housed, which can be seen crossing the sky at night and pointing towards the most important landmarks of the city, such as Cerro de la Silla and El Obispado, among others.

The laser is turned on Thursdays from 9:00 pm to 11:00 pm, and from Friday to Sunday from 9:00 pm to 12:00 am.

The Lighthouse is located in Macroplaza, Monterrey, on Hidalgo Street.
