The Chiapas territory is crossed by powerful rivers, such as the Usumacinta and the Grijalva, with tributaries lazy sections between rapids, the condition ideal for rafting.

Santo Domingo River (Las Nubes -The Clouds-)
You can start your adventure from Ejido Las Nubes and along the vertiginous descent you will enjoy beautiful landscapes, starting with the Las Golondrinas Waterfall. The Swallows Waterfall, owing to the many birds which live the area. Further on is the Rainbow Canyon, the name also refer to the rainbows formed very frequently due to the dispersion of sunlight from a water droplet.
Throughout the tour you will be able to appreciate the impressive Lacandon jungle, includig impresive rock walls where ideal for rappelling and climbing.
PALENQUE
Río Usumacinta
It is the largest river in Mexico and the natural diversity that surrounds it served as a framework for important Mayan cities such as Yaxchilan and Piedras Negras, which are visited while navigating exciting class III-IV rapids.
Along the way you there are beautiful sandy beaches in the river banks, ideal for camping.
Río Lacanjá
There are no real rapids in the river, but is one of the most scenic environments in Chiapas with waterfalls, natural pools surrounded by an exuberant tropical jungle.
In this option you can visit the archaeological zone of Lacanjá in the middle of the Lacandon jungle and the Moctuniha waterfall, very close to Bonampak.
TUXTLA GUTIÉRREZ
Cañón Río La Venta
It is one of the most spectacular places in Chiapas. La Venta river is 84 km in length and it flows down a deep gorge with limestone walls soaring up to 500-meter (1,640 feet) above the river.
Rafting in Rio La Venta is an adrenaline-pumping adventure, the canyon is characterized by rainforests dotted with ancient Mayan ruins. Entering this labyrinth you will be surprise in every turn with whitewater rapids, caverns or a spectacular waterfall. It is only accessible for highly prepared expeditions with specialized equipment.
