Its surface of more than twenty thousand hectares is made up of an exuberant vegetation of pine, oyamel, juniper and wild walnut. It is the second protected natural area in Hidalgo.

This beautiful park owes its name to the large marble deposits found in this area. There are several attractions like Barranca de San Vicente, a canyon with an impressive depth of 800 m, and hills of considerable height such as Cangandó, one of the most important elevations in the state of Hidalgo, and Oro de los Tepozanes.

Inside the park is La Encarnación, a ghost town that had its splendor during the region's mining era. Here the ironworker used to build the Eiffel Tower in Paris was cast and 100 years ago it was known as the “mining capital”. Now you can explore the vestiges of the town that include huge chimneys.
