TAPACHULA
Volcán Tacaná
It is located between Mexico and Guatemala, it has a height of 4165-meter (13,664 feet) above sea level and both countries have been declared a protected reserve.
The ascent is made by two routes: the "Paso del gato" and the "Binacional", traditionally known as "the line".
In both you can enjoy a coniferous forest environment.
The journey to the top will take you around eight hours; but once there you will enjoy a spectacular view of Mexico and Guatemala.

Cráter del Chichonal
The crater measures 2 km in diameter and has a lagoon with hot water where you can swim, although it is not drinkable.
It is a semi-fast climb, it is 500-meter (1,640 feet) high with an inclination that oscillates between 60 to 80 degrees.
