Location: León, Guanajuato

Valladolid Expo Fair

Date: January 19 to February 4

Location: Valladolid, Yucatán

It is a well-known event in southeastern Mexico, celebrated for its joy and fun, held in honor of the Virgin of Candelaria. It includes amusement rides, sports competitions, the traditional vaquerías (regional dances), the crowning of the queen, and various artistic and cultural events, including folk dances, bullfighting, and live music.

Tecomán Lemon Fair (Tecomán Lemon Fair)

Location: Tecomán, Colima

This magnificent festival is full of joy and fun, including livestock, artisanal, and commercial exhibitions, as well as cultural and sports activities, a Palenque, and a People's Theater.

Tonatico Fair

Location: Tonatico, State of Mexico

The event includes mechanical rides, a gastronomic showcase that of course includes delicious wines and meats, as well as craft sales. There are also musical events featuring renowned artists.

Candelaria Festivities

Date: January 31 to February 9

Location: Tlacotalpan, Veracruz

One of the most important patronal celebrations in southeastern Mexico, with a tradition dating back over 250 years. The celebration includes artistic and cultural activities, gastronomic showcases, fandangos, and rodeos.

The most notable event is the procession of the Virgin on the waters of the Papaloapan River on February 2.

 

Yautepec Carnival

Date: February 16 to 19

Location: Yautepec, Morelos

The celebration also incorporates the famous "Brinco de los Chinelos" dance, as well as concerts at the People's Theater and the main square. It features parades with floats, the crowning of the queen, and the typical chinelo costume contest. The event includes internationally renowned artists, making it one of the best in the region.
