

FESTIVALS AND EVENTS IN AUGUST
Expo Feria Apodaca
Date: July 4 to August 3
Location: Apodaca, Nuevo León
This festival celebrates Apodaca's past and present and offers a wide variety of cultural events that highlight the region's traditions and customs.
One of the fair’s main attractions is its gastronomic offering. Visitors can enjoy a wide variety of typical dishes from Nuevo León. There are also international food stands, ensuring that everyone will find something to their liking.
The fair serves as a showcase for local entrepreneurs and artisans, who have the opportunity to exhibit and sell their products. There are also rides and attractions, as well as shows and concerts.
Rosarito Fair
Dates: July 24 – August 17
Location: Rosarito, Baja California
The celebration includes performances by prominent artists at the Teatro del Pueblo, a gastronomic zone, mechanical games, sports tournaments, beach events, surfing, sport fishing, and much more.
The event takes place at Plaza San Fernando, located in the heart of Playas de Rosarito.
Feria del Carmen
Dates: July 16 – August 3
Location: Playa del Carmen, Campeche
The fair offers sports and musical events at the Domo del Mar, as well as a livestock, commercial, cultural, and tourist expo, mechanical games, and many more activities.
The event also includes religious events such as the Virgin of Carmen song composition contest, the Virgin of Carmen procession through the city's streets, the Marian Concert, and masses.
In the cultural sphere, there are exhibitions, art workshops, folk dances, and concerts.
National Fair (FENADU)
Dates: July 18 – August 3
Location: Durango, Durango
This fair commemorates the anniversary of the city's founding in 1563.
Originally an agricultural and livestock exposition, it has evolved into an internationally renowned celebration offering a wide range of events.
The fair offers musical performances at the Velaria, the Domo Villista, the Foro Expo Banda, and the Explanada de los Grandes, where national and international world-class artists perform.
Additionally, there are mechanical games, commercial, artisanal, and livestock expos, a gastronomic showcase, and sports events.
The cultural program includes theater productions, a film festival, dance, storytelling, exhibitions, concerts, a jazz festival, and children's music.
There are also parades and the traditional Villista Cavalcade.
Vive León Summer Festival
Date: July 19 to August 3
Location: León, Guanajuato
This festival offers a wide variety of events and activities. It includes massive concerts with internationally renowned artists, gastronomic zones featuring traditional and innovative flavors, children’s shows, sports activities and tournaments, cultural exhibitions, tech fairs, and of course, rides and family attractions.
Among the main attractions are the night concerts at the Foro del Lago and other key venues, where artists from various genres—pop, rock, regional Mexican, urban, and more—perform spectacular productions with lights, screens, and immersive sound.
There are also sports events such as BMX, skateboarding, soccer, wrestling, and other adrenaline-filled disciplines.
Feria del Sarape Chiautempan
Dates: July 24 – August 2
Location: Chiautempan, Tlaxcala
Santa Ana Chiautempan is known as “The Cradle of the Sarape” due to its great textile activity.
The fair includes: commercial, artisanal, and gastronomic expos, as well as a wide variety of sports and cultural events.
It also offers bullfights, wrestling, rodeo, paella festival, mechanical rides, dances, and concerts at the town theater and the Palenque.
Feria Lagos de Moreno
Dates: July 24 – August 10
Location: Lagos de Moreno, Jalisco
It is a great festival with a wide variety of events such as: beauty pageant, livestock exhibition, charreadas, dances, gastronomic showcase, mechanical rides, haunted house, artisan expo, horse races, dog show, rodeo, mini rodeo, escaramuzas fair, mariachi festival, nightclub area, and much more.
It also features performances by important artists at the town theater.
Feria Teziutlán
Dates: July 25 – August 15
Location: Teziutlán, Puebla
This beautiful town in the Puebla mountains holds a colorful and joyful festival.
During the event, festivities are held in honor of the Assumption of Mary, as well as mass dances, beauty pageant, sports and cultural events, commercial and artisanal expos, bullfights, and mechanical rides.
There is also a gastronomic showcase and performances by renowned artists.
Zacatecas International Folklore Festival
Date: July 27 to August 3
Location: Zacatecas, Zacatecas
For eight days, Zacatecas transforms into a vibrant stage where delegations from various countries and Mexican states share their identity, traditions, and cultural richness through colorful dance, music, and traditional clothing presentations. Its goal is to foster understanding among peoples, respect for differences, and pride in their roots.
The event includes folkloric galas at the Plaza de Armas, performances in theaters and public squares, colorful parades, gastronomic exhibitions, and academic activities such as workshops and conferences on popular traditions around the world. Each night, free shows can be enjoyed featuring groups from the Americas, Europe, Asia, and Africa, as well as the best folkloric dance companies in Mexico.
Harvest Festivals
Dates: July 30 – August 24
Location: Valle de Guadalupe, BC
These festivals include a series of parties and events held at various wineries in the region, where you can taste wine and celebrate the harvest. There are tastings, pairing dinners, brunches, contests, workshops, live music, and much more.
There are over 100 events, both at the vineyards and in the restaurants of Valle de Guadalupe.
Tuna Fair
Date: July 31 to August 3
Location: San Martín de las Pirámides, State of Mexico
This gathering celebrates the prickly pear fruit and brings together dozens of local producers. The event offers tastings, exhibitions of different varieties of prickly pear, xoconostle, and nopal, as well as sports activities, including karate and boxing exhibitions. Santo Domingo de Guzmán Fair
Date: July 31 to August 5
Location: Palenque, Chiapas
This great celebration is held in honor of Santo Domingo de Guzmán and has a long history, as the first one was celebrated in 1568 to commemorate the first anniversary of the town's founding.
Comprende una serie de festejos y actividades incluyendo: carreras de caballos, cabalgatas, exposición ganadera, expo venta de artesanías, así como eventos culturales y deportivos.
Feria de Huamantla
Date: July 31 to August 31
Location: Huamantla, Tlaxcala
This is one of the most important, oldest, and traditional fairs in all of Mexico, having been held since 1874. The celebration is held in honor of Huamantla's patroness, the Virgin of Charity.
The fair opens with an impressive fireworks display and a grand popular dance, as well as the coronation of the queen.
This fair is internationally known for its activities such as: the carcacha race, which parades through the town’s main streets; the flower parade; “The Night No One Sleeps,” where the town’s residents create beautiful festive carpets of flowers and sawdust to receive the procession of the Virgin of Our Lady of Charity on the decorated streets; the Night of Bullpens, featuring a parade with music bands, mariachis, matachin groups, stilt walkers, huehue troops from various municipalities, tlachiqueros, student groups, queens, taurine clubs, and more; and the Huamantlada, where several fighting bulls are released for brave individuals to perform their best feats in the main streets of the town.
The festival also includes top-level artistic performances at the town theater.
Expo Feria Tulancingo
Date: August 1 to 17
Location: Tulancingo, Hidalgo
This fair features commercial, artisanal, livestock, gastronomic, and industrial expos, as well as mechanical rides, beauty pageant, bar area, and much more.
It also offers the town theater and the Palenque with important shows.
Grape and Wine Fair Parras, Harvest Festival
Date: August 1 to 16
Location: Parras de la Fuente, Coahuila
The event features the participation of important wineries that attend to showcase their best products.
There are serenades, a parade, and the queen's coronation contest. Additionally, there are tastings, workshops, and exhibitions centered around viticulture, along with a gastronomic showcase where wine is the main attraction.
Expo Feria Internacional de la Marimba y las Flores
Date: August 2 to 10
Location: Comitán, Chiapas
The fair is held in honor of Santo Domingo de Guzmán, comprising a series of religious, cultural, sports, and artistic events.
Additionally, one can enjoy the fair queen contest, mechanical rides, and performances by important artists at the Palenque.
The central park also hosts a marimba encounter.
Guitar Fair
Date: August 2 to 10
Location: Paracho, Michoacán
During these days, Paracho is filled with magic, music, and tradition. It brings together talented artisans, musicians, and visitors from all over to share their love for this beautiful instrument.
The festival offers competitions and concerts, as well as exhibitions of guitars and traditional toys, along with the National Guitar Builders Competition.
Feria Nacional Potosina, FENAPO
Date: August 8 to 31
Location: San Luis Potosí, San Luis Potosí
It has become one of the most important fairs in Mexico. Its main goal is to promote culture, commerce, livestock, and tourism in San Luis Potosí.
One of its main attractions is its impressive lineup of artists. Year after year, this fair has stood out for featuring the best performers in regional Mexican music, pop, rock, cumbia, and other genres.
In its gastronomic pavilion, visitors can taste typical dishes from San Luis Potosí. For international food lovers, the fair also offers restaurants and food stands with options for every taste.

Apple Fair

Location: Zacatlán, Puebla
Some of the most important events of this celebration include the coronation of the fair queen, the procession, and the solemn mass in honor of the Virgin of the Assumption, a parade of floats, and the traditional "Manzanazo." In this event, the queens of the patronal festivals of the town's communities participate.
With more than 80 years of tradition, this fair offers exciting shows at the People's Theater featuring top artists. You will also be able to savor all kinds of apple-related delicacies.
Grape Fair
Date: August 16 to 24
Location: Aguascalientes, Aguascalientes
This celebration pays tribute to the state's winemaking roots. For nine days, visitors can enjoy more than 200 labels of local wines, many of them internationally awarded. In addition, visitors can taste other Aguascalientes products such as mezcal, craft beer, cheeses, traditional sweets, and other dishes that make up an exquisite gastronomic offering.
The event includes more than 200 cultural activities, including music, theater, dance, exhibitions, and activities for the whole family. Additionally, at the Wine Pavilion at the San Marcos esplanade, there will be free concerts with nationally and internationally renowned artists.
Tijuana Fair
Date: August 22 to 28
Location: Tijuana, Baja California
This event offers amusement rides, concerts, Mexican food, and more.
At the Palenque, you can enjoy performances by various artists in a very Mexican style, while at the Audiorama, alternative genres captivate all attendees.
Silao Fair
Date: July 25 to August 10
Location: Silao, Guanajuato
This fair offers several attractions, starting with important artists performing at the Teatro del Pueblo, as well as gastronomic showcases, mechanical games, artisanal exhibitions, and a commercial zone.
In an effort to revive traditions, the dance of “El Torito” is also presented.
Mariachi and Charrería Festival
Date: August 27 to September 7
Location: Guadalajara, Jalisco
With over 30 years of tradition, the festival always offers an attractive program of music and dance activities, with both national and international participants.
It includes Grand Concerts featuring mariachi groups with musical ensembles, regional Sinaloan music, and the Philharmonic Orchestra.

Morismas de Bracho
Date: August 31 to September 3
Location: Zacatecas, Zacatecas
This is an ancient tradition carried out by the representatives of the Brotherhood of Saint John the Baptist, in which more than 10,000 actors and street performers participate in the three stages of the Morismas.
The first representation is the beheading of John the Baptist; the second is the reenactment of the battle led by Charlemagne against the Muslims; and the third is the Battle of Lepanto between Christians and Turks, which took place in the 16th century.
The parade takes place along the main streets of the Historic Center.
